Open Call for new applicants for 2017 on Shannon Callows

SECOND CALL FOR APPLICANTS TO THE SHANNON CALLOWS BREEDING WADER AND SPECIES-RICH FLOOD MEADOW SCHEMES FOR 2017 ONLY
Where payments will be awarded based on the ecological quality of the farmland.
To be eligible the land must:
- Be in receipt of the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS),
- NOT be under a GLAS or AEOS contract for 2017
- Be located within the Shannon Callows SAC
Call open specifically to the following areas:-
FOR Breeding Wader Measure, Grazing areas in the townlands of:
Golden Island | Clonmacnoise | Raghrabeg | Cogran |
Bunnaribba | Creevagh | Garrymore | Ballymacoolahan |
Cloncraff / Bloomhill | Cloonburren | Killaphort | Kilnaborris |
Clonascra | Cloniff | Derryholmes /Timolin & Derryharan | Rooaun (Longford By) |
Drumlosh | Raghra | Esker (Longford By) |
FOR Species-rich Flood Meadow Mesure, Meadow Callows at:
Bloomhill, Mathers, Moystown, Woodbank, Esker and Drumlosh.
AND farmers from the following calolws callows (previously targeted in 2015/16) may also apply at this time:
Goravinch, Clonmacnoise, Fahns, Baranagh, Tower Callow, Bullock Island, Cogran (Lusmagh), Long Island (Co Roscommon) and Bishops Island, .
Deadline for applications: 30th November 2016; with applicants to be finalised by January 2017.
