Visit to RBAPS Romania

Some highlights from my visit to the meadows of Tarnava Mare around Sighisoara in September:dsc_0295_1

After grazers stopping to pose on the mountain meadows.

The meadows are very short this time of year..

4-flowers

But there is still lots of flowers when you look down..

Lots of red-legged grasshoppers hopping about in the sunshine.

Traditional practices still evident in the area (farmer drawing a single felled tree from the edge of the woodland area)

All the hill sides, although appearing closely grazed, have been mown by scythe or small machinery over the summer months.
